Duplex Flip Complete!
Woah!! It's always a good feeling when your flip is complete and your weekends are no longer filled with working on the property and can now be filled with golf outings and zoo trips!
The flip of the duplex went relatively smooth...The biggest hurdle we faced was the weather. We couldn't paint the outside in the cold leaving the flip looking unfinished when everything else was complete.
There is so much more that we wanted to do to the duplex cosmetically. The go to staples of adding granite, new doors, cabinets, hardware, etc. but we didn't want to make the same mistake we had made on previous rentals, which was over flip for the area. It's so hard to stay in control of the budget when you want to add all the little details! This flip cost us less than $7,000 which we were pleased with! Staying in control of the budget and doing some of the work ourselfs helped us keep the renovation costs low.
